“Underwater Projects”Premiere – Climate Week NYC

The Hip Hop Caucus, a prominent national nonprofit organization dedicated to blending art, activism, and hip-hop culture, proudly celebrated the Green Carpet Premiere of its latest short film, “UNDERWATER PROJECTS,” during New York Climate Week. This initiative emphasizes the powerful connection between environmental justice and artistic expression, harnessing the influence of hip-hop to inspire action and awareness about pressing climate issues.

Narrated by the talented comedian Wanda Sykes, “UNDERWATER PROJECTS” aims to engage audiences through a unique storytelling approach that merges humor with critical societal themes. Directed by Liz Havstad, the film artfully captures the urgency of climate change while showcasing the voices and perspectives of those directly affected by environmental challenges.

The premiere event not only highlighted the film’s impactful message but also fostered discussions on the role of creativity in activism.
