What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Well what happens when you bring Vegas to New York City? John Starks’ Casino and Cigar Night is what happens. Now, before you start jumping to lewd conclusions, this event, held at Midtown Loft & Terrace, was fundraising for John Stark’s Foundation, which provides academic scholarships to deserving high school seniors. Talk about Sin City, minus the Sin. Win City is more like it. A very adult theme for a very worthy cause to help the youth. It doesn’t get better than that.

Actually, it does. This star studded event, held at one of the poshest and hottest addresses in Manhattan, was truly a night to remember. Stars like John Starks, former New York Knicks player and founder of his amazing foundation, Hassan Johnson, from The Wire, Rebecca Haarlow, anchor and reporter for NFL Network, and many others attended this admirable event. Rebecca wore the perfect summer evening wear that compensated for the warm weather and the seriousness of the occasion. She wore a bright yellow bow tie detailed pencil skirt paired with a simple white tank top and nude ankle strap heels. Let’s just say that her outfit is IZON approved for a go-to chic summer look in the city.

Rebecca’s evening look was very complementary to the luxurious backdrop of iconic buildings that many guests had the privilege to oversee from the roof top portion of Midtown Loft & Terrace. Guests enjoyed breathtaking, and unique, views of the city at this elegant location. This place was the perfect place to host John Starks’ Casino and Cigar Night because of the variance of spaces that this location offers. Think about it, some people can’t abide both casinos and cigars at the same time, so it only made sense that the Casino portion of the night was held at the Loft area, and the cigar lovers were able to indulge themselves on the Terrace. Best of both worlds, right? Midtown Loft & Terrace was definitely the best place to enjoy a praiseworthy cause like John Starks’. It’s always a good time when you can have some devilish fun, while raising the big bucks to help elevate the youth in our local communities.
