SKINOS Greek Mediterranean Cuisine Downtown

skinos123.com

Skinos is an exceptional Greek restaurant located in the financial district, just a short walk from the 9/11 Memorial. From the moment you step inside, you are immersed in a high-end, vibrant atmosphere, thanks to the restaurant’s impressive interior design and perfectly curated music. The lighting and aesthetics make every moment picture-worthy.

Crab Cakes

We began our meal with several appetizers, starting with the shrimp saganaki, baked in a rich tomato sauce and topped with feta cheese. The sauce was so flavorful that we eagerly dipped our bread until the very last drop was gone. The charcoal-grilled octopus was cooked to perfection, and the roasted peppers, onions, and capers complemented it beautifully. Although I’m usually not a fan of crab cakes, the jumbo lump crab with aioli made me reconsider my stance on the dish entirely.

Octopus
Lobster Pasta

The lobster pasta was another standout; it had been a while since I last enjoyed this particular dish, and Skinos exceeded my expectations with both the preparation of the lobster and the sauce on the pasta. Another highlight was the beef short rib, which literally melted in our mouths with every bite, perfectly paired with mashed potatoes that were cooked to perfection.

Skinos offers great food, an amazing ambiance, and a staff that was attentive in every way. If you love exceptional cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere that makes you feel good and provides countless photo opportunities, this is a top destination in the financial district.
