Casa D’Angelo is located right in the heart of Little Italy on Mulberry Street. A charming and romantic atmosphere, I felt the authenticity of the Italian-American dining experience. Our waiter was from Naples and he was extremely warm and accommodating. We chatted a bit about stories from the old country.
My guest and I started off with fried calamari, an octopus salad, and a margarita pizza. We shared each dish and we all remarked how delicious everything was.
When they brought out the main courses, we were all wowed. Frutti di mare in a marinara sauce with calamari, squid, mussels, and shrimp, linguini with clams in a white wine sauce, and lasagna. Paired with white wine, each dish appealed to our senses and went beyond our expectations.
The perfect place for dinner for two or a large group, I highly recommend Casa D’Angelo if you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience in New York City. At the end of the night, we were all very satisfied and very much looking forward to dining there again.
