King Vader, also known as Dominique Barret, has been what we call a “new age digital renaissance man”. Originally starting with skits from the former social media platform Vine, King Vader always had a strong social media presence. After going viral, King Vader decided to take his platform from just a hobby and funny videos, to larger streaming platforms and a full career.
King Vader has created an innovative space and uses social media to advertise his own business endeavors. He has been able to bring elements of all his passions and his dexterity together to create the platform and reach he has today. King Vader has a whopping 2.7 million subscribers on YouTube, 245.2 thousand followers on twitter and 1.5 million followers on Instagram. On these platforms he shows off his film making abilities, interest in anime and talents in music, directing and acting.
IZON Mag got the chance to sit down with King Vader and feature him for our newest cover of IZON Issue Content on Demand! Here we were able to speak with Vader and discuss the journey to being a YouTube sensation, difficulties within his career and how quarantine affected him. While facing the pandemic and life’s other adversities, Vader hopes to be a trailblazer within the new age of film directors and actors and we know his fans can’t wait too!
